turbo

sup guys i just bought a gerett T3 turbo thats just ben rebuilt for 70 bux. anyways im wondering if any of you guys know about whats gona be the best place to mount this thing. and if a wrx hood would fit my 97 or if even the rs from that year had a scoop cus im thinking of just picking up a stock wrx inercooler so i can get things going untill i have a chance to do all the serious work. also any advice on it is apreciated. its current setup is 60 Trim compressor wheel /.48 a/r exhaust, Includes a garrett internal wastegate housing. so what all else do i need to get and what do you think would be any good configs for this. i know that i need a boost guage and a Turbo timer, some piping cus its water and oil cooled but im not sure what else.

RS hood will fit. WRX intercooler, WRX injectors and fuel pump, Voltage Clamp, bunch of piping and an exhaust manifold, BOV (might come attached to the intercooler), uhh, seems like there's more...

Re: turbo

There was no '97 RS, you'd have to get something off a later model.

Any Impreza hood up to 01 will fit. Including the Outback Sport, which was the same as the RS hood.

The stock MAF was only made to read up to a certain level of pressure, adding boost will go over that lever and the car will not run well. A voltage clamp tricks it into thinking it's not boosted.
