Question Pacifica Opinion?

Has anyone taken a test drive of the 2004/05 Pacifica or have any opinion of it? I've checked out Chrysler's web site and the Pacifica Privileges site, but have yet to take a test drive and wanted to get some feedback.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks...
Rachel

Re: Pacifica Opinion?

I just took mine. I went to the Pacifica Privileges site and downloaded a certificate - they're giving away free stuff if you test drive. I wasn't all that interested at first, but the car drives a lot better than I would have expected from the size. Nice leather too if you like that sort of thing.

I own one and I LOVE IT. The ride and handling is FANTASTIC. As always (don't we always want this?), it could use a little more power, but it has enough to do what it needs to do. I got out of a 95 Eagle Talon into this car, so it is ALOT different.
If you are in the market for a new car, be careful. If you get behind the wheel and and drive it, you WILL buy it.
I am 58 years old and am a retired Chrysler employee (10 years). It is the best looking vehicle ( well, the 300 and the Magnum are great also) Chrysler has ever built - ESPECIALLY the interior. I LOVE IT.

well, i went out to Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie today to go to the Art of Driving presented by Chrysler. i got to drive a few different 2004/2005 cars. lots of fun!!! my review of the cars are as follows (sorry folks, no pics...i forgot my camera on the charger this morning ):

Chrysler Crossfire Roadster - very stylish and comfortable to drive. acceleration lag prominent on full throttle launch. power kicks in when shifting into 2nd gear. handled very solidly through entire course.

Chrysler PT Cruiser Turbo Convertible - a very fun drive. lots of leg room compared to the regular PT Cruiser. no turbo lag evident. spins wheels on full throttle launch. smooth handling through whole course.

Chrysler Sebring Convertible - very comfortable to drive. quick throttle response on full throttle launch. no body roll in tight corners. smooth handling through entire course.

Chrysler Pacifica - a very stiff ride. AWD version driven. quick throttle response on full throttle launch. very luxurious inside. handled well in turns, but some body roll evident. sure footed on entire course.

Chrysler Town & Country - very comfy ride. quick throttle response on full throttle launch. very roomy inside. handled well through entire course, especially considering it's a minivan.

Chrysler 300c Hemi - extremely roomy inside. no full throttle launch, i was at the end of the acceleration area before i got it to the floor . definate "big car" feel in turns, but handled quite well.

my final thoughts are that if i was looking for another vehicle, i'd probably purchase a PT Cruiser Turbo Convertible.

You state that the PACIFICA (ALL) Suck. Your vehicle has 2 problems. Problems happen. The MAIN problem is not your vehicle, it is THE DEALERSHIP you are taking it to. I know that it can be frustrating having a new vehicle and having problems with it, HOWEVER, put the blame where it belongs. NOT on the Pacifica, on the DEALERSHIP.
