vtec wiring

i have a 94 cx honda civic hatch. and i dropped in a 95 si vtec motor. and i am wiring up my vtec to my p28 ecu. what do i need to do to make it work???? i wired the single wire off the solenoid to the a4pin on the ecu and the engine light comes on and still no vtec. what else do i need to do??? please e-mail me. exactly, thats or you can call some reputable shops in your neckofthewoods
