Hey all-
I have a 1999 Accord EX-V6 ... I've noticed some little water spots on the clear plastic window that protects the speedometer/tach/fuel/temp gauges... but get this, they're on the INSIDE. I really want them out of there - is there any easy way to get this assemby off so I can clean it, or do I have to take apart half the dash? Thanks in advance!

Re: Removing clear plastic gauge cover?
No you don't have to take apart the dash. First step, there are two black screws above the speedometer. They are on the upper part of the plastic casing surrounding your gauges. After you remove those screws, you can start to slide of that black case, notice i said slide it off. Now there are 4 screws that you have to remove. There are two screws at the bottom of the instrumental panel and there are two at the top. Remove those. Now make sure that your steering wheel is all the way down. Take the top of the the panel and pull it towards you. On the back you can see there are three cables connected by a green connector. Those are your tach, speedometer, temp fuel cables. Don't worry about getting them mixed up, they will stay in order when you remove them. Now you can remove the whole instrumental panel. Sit in a nice comfortable place. You need a T10 asterik or star screw driver. There are six screws you need to remove with that screw driver. Hold the panel upright. Four screws are located in the corner of the panel, also two on the top middle and bottom middle. Ignore the screws on the back of the panel. Now you can remove the clear plastic window. Make sure you don't lose the black pin that resets your miles. Now just do everything in reverse order and you are set!
