auto tranny

I decided to post this in the eclipse forum because i have the f4a33 auto tranny which is the same as the fwd turbo eclipses, and because there aren't any TT autos in the 3/S community, there is no one really pushing any power through it, and i'm the guinea pig right now. Right now, i am in process of putting twin td05 big 16Gs in, currenty now running twin td04 9bs and having well over 300 fwhp, as these things only hold about 11 psi to redline cause they really suck, and if i switch to td05, the turbos will be cheaper. Anyways, first off, my tranny is built with a translab shift kit, tranny cooler, LSD insert, and high-stall converter, and it has absolutely no problems handling over 300 fwhp, but i just want more out of it. My car will be down to at least 3,000 lbs by time i'm done with the turbo swap so the weight shouldnt be too stressful, but i'm still worried about reliability. I know there are auto dsms on stock trannies with the shift kit, lsd, cooler, etc running 10.0 @ 140. I'm no expert on DSM autos, but i figured there might be a couple in here, and i am just wondering on how well the autos with these mods hold up to know if i will probably blow up my tranny. I am eventually expecting it to go, in which i will then rebuild it with titanium or some other strong internals. Also, what kind of turbo lag would i be looking at (3.0 V6 8:1 pistons, two turbos, LS6 MAFT, full exhaust including no cats and stillen downpipe, plus high-stall converter). Thanks for the help.

No idea about the lag, but yeah I've heard the same thing about the tranny reliability-- guys running 10s with just the shift kit, end clutch upgrade, and cooler. You usually hear that the tranny will hold at least 350WHP without much trouble. I need to hurry up and install the tranny cooler that's been sitting on my kitchen counter for like 2 months....

Re: auto tranny

Wow. Might I ask why you want to go auto?
