I have a 97 camaro, and my car was making weird sounds so I changed out the spark plugs and added lubrication to the belts because it sounded like the problem was coming from there but when I sprayed the lubrication on the belt, it sounded as if the my car was going to turn off and started making a screeching sound, do you guys know what the problem is?

Re: i need help
you could have an accessory going bad, like alternator, a/c pump, etc. I know gm alternators are sooooo realiable (I was lucky enough to have to change mine in january, in MN, at 2 in the morning, it was about 20 degrees). You can get them checked, but you have to take them off.
