Brakes - 1995 Grand Am

Hoping someone might be able to assist with a brake problem I've recently enountered......

Early last week, I had the car in for a routine lube/oil/filter, and everything was fine. Later in the week, the brakes began to make an 'awful' sound each time they were depressed completely (particularly at speeds between 20-30 mph). It's hard to describe the sound -- it's almost like a pump sucking/gargling on air rather than on a liquid (i.e. brake fluid), and it's loud enough so that others turn to look . I checked the brake fluid resevoir, and it's full to the rim; also, the ABS light does not illuminate. Lastly, the actually braking itself is normal (other than the sound), and he brake pedal itself seems fine (i.e. neither spongey nor hard), so I'm not sure what the problem might be.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them (and would like to have an idea or two of what the problem might be before I bring it to the mechanic)....

Check your break pads. Maybe they worn out? Also you can turn your car off and pull out the ABS fuse, see if it solves the problem. OR maybe some dust got in there.
