94 cutlass supreme abs & brake lights on

Hello ! Need help .

My 94 olds cutlass supreme 3100 After it was car washed , it has both ABS brakes And Brake ligths on. I've checked the brake fluid and is ok.

Also , in a different subject , while driving ,when I turn on the A/C , the car seems to lose power, as if the timing is not catching up .
I've changed the Knock sensor , but I still have the problem.

Thanks in advance !

On my gtp i had the same problem. The solution was i've cleaned all (4 wheels) abs sensors on each tire with a air compressor. Disconnect the connector and clean it. My abs lights come off.

I hope that helps

Re: 94 cutlass supreme abs & brake lights on

i have a 94 olds cutlass. and i think you will find that the brake system on these cars were very inferior, suffering from failure due to design, malfunctioning sensors, and defects in design. my cutlass has been through 5 sets of calipers, all siezed up from lack of using the emergency brake, especially the rear. also, i have been through about 4 sets of struts in the back, also due to poor design. if you look it up, this car is one of the worst cars olds has ever put out, so you probably will save a fortune of you just dump it now. also, i had the same problem with my sensors for the abs, and they will continue to so the same thing, over and over. atticus1271

Probably took on water, blow it out and light should go out, although mechanic will have to clear the code. Find out which sensor it was to inspect it further. There are small seals in the electrical connector. Maybe they are not sealing properly.
