too much to ask for?

im trying to get my mom into cosigning a loan from this car dealership, and making it my graduation present. the dealership is asking 14,995 for a 2000 civic sir. it hasi/h/e, lowered, there is a big ass alpine system in it, and there is some other shit done to the engine and all it needs is nitrous. there is 53,000 miles on it. its tight as fuck. and im lookin to trade in my 95 si hatch for it. my mom said if the dealership will give me what i have left on my loan for my 95 then she will sign. good right? but there is another car i was looking at, 2002 civic dx. wings west body kit, rims, brand new yokohoma tires, 14k miles, i/h/e, system, and they want 10,995 for it, but its private property. would i be better off getting the 00 for 12 g's or selling my 95 and getting the 02 for almost the same price?

Sure the SIR is tight, but the thought of someone already messing with the car...

I would just get a EX and swap or look for a stock SIR

not everybody that mods cars does it the wrong way. I've seen a few cars that were modded that I would buy, cause it was done right and for a good price.

Just find someone that knows their stuff, take them with you to look at the car, test drive it, make sure it's decent.

yeah, I found that out the hard way. Found a 90 teg with a 98 B18C1 that was a theft recovery so I bought it, even without looking at it. They did the swap the complete wrong way, runs like shit. I got it for an amazing price, still worth what I paid, but it's not even something worth driving.
