lighting question

can i add some xenon HID bulbs and replace them over my stock bulbs without any modification or kits??

if yes... why do i see some HID kits that cost hundreds of dollars?!

if you replace your bulbs with the bulbs that they call "HID bulbs" it'll be brighter, but it isn't real HID because you get 80 watts output for 80 watts of input. if you get the HID conversion kit, you'll get 80 watt output with only the expense of like 12 watts. It's kind of like a magnifying glass.

I got some xenon HID and their soooooooo nice, anyways the thing that boost up the price of HID's kits opposed to HID bulbs is a little box they call the Ballister ( it think thats how you spell it) anyways like the previous post its that magnifying glass thing. there's one for each headlight.
