How in the world do you take off the screen for the rear speakers on a '98 camry? If anybody knows, I would really, really appreciate your advice.
ps. I read the thread posted earlier on this subject, but nothing was mentioned on the removal. |

you need to go in your trunk and push out the brake light and the clips for the whole rear panel im not sure how many there are but its not hard to spot them i did it with some needle nose pliers good luck

They are easier to remove with the whole panel removed, although I've been told that you can remove them by prying gently with a flathead screwdriver also. I've just removed my whole panel earlier today to clean and check the wires on my speakers, and the speaker grilles are attached with four plastic clips.
