what price should i be looking for

what is up..i blew my engine on my 99 civic EX and went to get a quote for a b20 swap...3k was the answer...is that high? it did include a manual changeover (which i dont think i want) what price should i be looking for if i dont get the manual transmission (i am lazy) should i get the b18b instead. i THINK i may turbo eventually but not for a LONG time, i just spend 4k on body work and now i need a new engine
thanx in advance

Re: what price should i be looking for

2300-2900 Is the price you should be looking for, depends if it comes with the mounts and everything is complete. How many estimated miles on the motor also...

Re: what price should i be looking for

it was my understanding that i pay them...i get the car back with a new engine...so i would actually be getting a good deal if i get the manual swap as well?

Re: what price should i be looking for

You'll have more tunning options with the b20 swap. You'll start out with some good power and then have room for the turbo. With the d16, you have to turbo usually just to get some good power.

Re: what price should i be looking for

im not looking up to them, i had the idea of what i wanted to do to my car before that movie even came out..just because i presently do not have a speedy engine does not mean i do not intend to have one..i believe a ricer is someone who thinks he is fast but isnt..i cant help that other people think my car is fast not knowing its a stock engine
