Reliability
I am looking into purchasing a vr4 and i was wondering if any of you have had and reliability problems with your vr4s. Thank You.

The car is average for reliablity, not bad, not amazing. A few common problems would be:
Active Aero malfunctions...this happens occasionally but is easy to fix Synchros in the tranny are notorious for wearing out...this could cost a couple hundred to a couple grand depending on how much of the work you do yourself Valve guides wearing out around 105k, causes you to leak oil and costs 800-100 to get fixed. These are some common problems, but aren't guarenteed to happen. If the car has been maintained well you shouldn't have any problems...it's like any other car. Maintainence is important.

![]() As any other car would be, its how well the previous owner(s) took care of it. There is nothing inherently wrong with the car (save that getreg second syncro which is a crapshoot as if you'll get one that wears out to soon).
