There are two 10mm head screws inside the pickup bed (probably under your bedliner). You'll need to pull back the bed liner a little to get access. Unscrew the two bolts, then pull light out a little towards the rear, then disconnect light harness.

Cusser, Would the same be true in changing tail lights on a 2002 Frontier? Dealer mech said screws were located near the bolts holding the retaining cable on the tailgate, but I can't find them. Maybe behind the bed liner like you posted to panamacitydude?
thanks,

Cusser, I checked & looked real hard for any screws inside the bed to access the tail lights on
my 2002 Frontier. Can't seem to find how to remove the tail lights, duh.
