b20 in a maxima-help!

My friend has a v6 maxima and is looking for some more power, so i suggested that he put a b20 out of a CR-V in there for some more torque and revs. He liked the idea, so now im trying to figure how to fit this engine in theere. I allready bought the engine off of a local shop, so i got a couple of questions:

1: whats the easiest way to drop otu the dq35 (thats what he told me it was)? the bottom or use a cherry picker?

2: who makes mounts for this swap?

3: will the motor fit the stock transmission?

4: How much faster will the b20 maxima be than the dq35?

What Maxima does your friend have? Almost every model Maxima already makes more power than a B20b/z from a CR-V(126-146hp, iirc).

You're probably talking about the VQ35, which produces a minimum of 255hp in the Maxima.

Sure, the B20b/z could be tuned to produce more power than a stock VQ35, but with the money you'd need for the swap and tuning you could probably have a built FI-duty VQ with far more power.

Why would your friend do this swap?

To answer your questions:

1. A cherry picker will probably be the easiest way to take the VQ out.

2. There are no mounts for this. No one in the past has really tried to put a Honda 4-banger into their V6 Maxima. The closest to this has been a Samsung-branded A32-chassis Nissan Cefiro(1st gen Infiniti I30) that used Nissan's SR20DE 4-cyl instead of a VQ V6.

3. The B20b/z motor will probably not fit the stock Maxima's transmission.

4. The Maxima will be much slower with the B20b/z, because you will be subtracting a little over 100hp and 110lb-ft...which leads me to my original question...Why would your friend want to do this swap?

Its more exciting than watchin the grass grow...And the whole reason we did this is becuase we were commenting on how unwelcoming the other forums were....the 4th gen forums are a nice, cozy place for all to relax with chill mods...it just seems that the nissan guys are a little uptight and willing to jump down any honda boys throat...i know its a vq35 and blah blah blah

word to that look at this is how and why all honda owners get a bad name
pisses me off i do nothing but lend what little help i can and the 240 and all the other fourms accept me the 240 guys get a bad rap cause so many people show up just to start stuff. But if you are nice and polite they always help and are cool guys.

yeah look at me, i just started out as a stupid n00b, but didnt be pushy, and i was polite and shit like that. now im a "enthusiast" and a respected member. at least i hope so...anywho, honda boys are little punks who think they are all that, and they spiff up their cars, and try to make them look "cool" and fast, its stupid. i have at least 30 civics and other riced out hondas in my school, which only has 1000 people, and like, 500 cars. its horrible. i went up north today, and saw 10 thats right 10 riced out civics in a half hour. and they were slow cuz i raced em in my dads 4runner, and kicked their ass.
