Just changed the fluids in the front and rear diff's in my 2004 EXT. Can't seem to find the amount and type of fluid for the transfer case. I was wondering if these units have the "Blue" fluid in them....i.e. very extended drain intervals.
My '02 Silverado 2500 HD has a tag on it that says any Dexron 3 auto tranny fluid is O.K. Just wondering if anyone has specific knowledge on this topic. Wayne P.S. Changing the diff's was easy.....Glad I did it...the truck has 4,300 miles on it and the fluid was very cloudy. |

Re: Transfer Case Fluid Change?
It calls for 2 quarts of GM Auto-Trak II (the "Blue" fluid) and is only available from the dealer--no one else I trusted recommended anything else.
