Panasonic Head Units Any Good? (Help!)

There is an ad on Frys Electronics for a panasonic 200 watt cd reciever, for 109 with free installation. The deal is off in two days.. so i need to know how good it is soon. My sister needs a basic cd reciever in her car.. so i need to know if its good. I heard on previous models there was anti shock problems and it would skip frequently. Anyways this model is Panasonic CQ-C1120U, 50x4 max, and 25x4 RMS. Comes with a wireless remote too. I just need to know if the sound quality on panasonic is good, and if its going to skip or not. If any of you had previous experience with panasonic, that would be helpful too! The Reciever

i have a panasonic and have not had any problems also the sound quality is great. i had a jvc before it was jacked (f*ckers) but it sounds better than the jvc. I am no head unit or sound guru but i would say its a good buy. good luck bro

Sound quality is definitely a plus. I can say that these head units have the potential to be the center of a well-developed sound system. With most of the Panasonics rivaling Kenwoods Head Units for Outputs. I'd say just upgrading stock speakers with a Panasonic Head Unit will be enough to pass the time till you save up for subs. Adjusted correctly, can handle good bass reponse, with clarity.

I keep hearing that Panasonic's quality is crap and how unreliable and how much it skips, from other sites. But i guess Panasonic fixed all that with the newer models? Or all the negative reviews are just lies..? Do you guys think my model is good enough?

My panasonic works great its the cq df78eu. Quilaity is great, only thing i dont like about it is skips some when you have a full scrached mp3 cd, and it also take a while to read a full mp3 cd. Other than that, its best one i have had.

ok so i guess the only reason they skip is because if the scratched up cd's. My model isn't mp3 so i dont really have to worry about load up time. :P Mosfet internal amp sounds nice though.. same as pioneer and kenwood?
