tire question.

sorry, a little on topic but i couldnt find a better forum.

for those of you who mount your own wheels at home, how the hell do you get rid of the old tires? of course the garbage wont take em, but i cant figure out who does.

Well, I dont do it at home, but know a lot of people that do, You can take them to the dump here, you first have to goto the town hall and get a permit, then to the dump they go, second, you could just take them to a garage (where they work on cars) at night, and leave them in their tire pile , or, you could do what a lot of people here do, drive down a back road and dump them off in a ditch.

yeah, tryin to avoid that last one, actually none of those options sound good. i drive a miata too so dumpin tires is no easy task

Hmm, at my dad's garage he don't give 2 shits if you put your old tires into the tirepile outback since he doesn't lose any money and also I think the government likes it better that way instead of dumping them in the woods + I don't think many dumps take used tires.

I agree with taking them to a mechanic shop or wherever they have old tire pile and put them there.

ok, i thought it might cost em money to recycle them, so i will just go ask someone if its ok and if he tries to charge me i will dump them there anyway.
