body work decision (need HELP!!!)

I need help with a 1981 nascar edition firebird, I want to take the hood and the nose or grill off and replace it with a 1972 hood and grill
will I have any complications ?? I just do not like what it has on now so id like to replace it , can anyone help me please???

i used to have a 80 trans am se the body is way different
its wider than early 70's models, i too wanted to change
my 80 split head light front nose hood and fenders out for a
77 style front end and i wasted my time and screwed up
the front of the car. and if you have one of these cars
i have a buddy that has a pace car edition 81 model
it was appraised at 30,000 dallars! i wouldnt change it.
