tune up??

i need to change my thermostate and pvc valve,on my 200 pontiac grand am,i know the thermostate is located my the water pump, where exactly is the waterpump located,and also the location for the pvc valve?thanks

go to any autoparts store and pick up an hayness manual. best 15 bucks you can spend on your car.

the car is a 2000 pontiac grand am 6clinyder,they don't have a haines manual yet for late model cars,

Unfortunately the only work manual i could find is the factory repair manual for my 2000 v6 ga.

The PCV valve is probably one the right hand side of the front valve cover, it pops right out.

The thermostat should be on the right (drivers side) of the engine, down about 6" from the top of the engine under the throttle cables. An easier way to locate it is to follow the upper rad hose back from the rad towards the engine. There should be 2 bolts either side of that hose as it vanishes inside the engine block. Thats where the thermostat is usually hiding.
