new project: toyota 2000gt 1:16

hey guys! heres what im up to lately, its a fujimi 1:16 Toyota 2000GT given to me as a gift by my fiance looking at the content, i was amazed by its size and all the possibilities in detailing. the kit came with open hood, trunk and doors and came with the hinges

and so i came to look at the engine and i immediately started working on it. heres the images:

the air filter is scratch-built as well as other engine detail components
tell me what you think guys

That engine looks sharp.
Nicely detailed, and weathered.

Totally awesome. I can't wait to where this goes, it's going to be marvelous. Great detail, the motor alone is dead sexy.

Your camera and your fiance seem to be quite nice as well.

thanks guys for your possitive comments
i did the air filter by using the base of the original filter supplied in the kit, then i replaced the upper part with styrofoam carved to shape and then covered it with an old cotton cloth. after that i spray painted it with black

next on the to-do list is the dashboard. i already drilled the holes for the guages cpz the kit supplied dash has flat guage faces because looking at my references, the guages should be deeper inside the holes. ill be posting pics as soon as i have made a significant advance

thanks again!
