i swear to God, if my dad comes on to my computer and deletes all my porn just ONE more time, i'm going to snap.
sorry...trivial, stupid topic...but i needed to vent SOMEwhere...

if he isn't computer savvy, then what you could do is make the files hidden and make sure that the folder itself is hidden as well....so that when he goes onto your computer then he won't see the stuff.........but saving copies to cd's as backup isn't such a bad idea either...if you have win2k or xp, can't you make it so that you have a user name and password for everybody in the family (for those who share the same computer with others in the house) and make it so that your user name only has access to those files
