turn signal staying on and not blinking
i have an 87 s-10 4x4 2.8, and when you put the turn signal on in either direction, it just stays on and dont blink, emergency flashers work, no blown fuses. could this be caused by a faulty switch in the steering column?? any help would be appreciated before i get my ass ran over for not signaling

Re: turn signal staying on and not blinking
Check the flasher for the blinkers it is separates from the hazards. Look in your owners manual for its location.

The flasher's are located directly below the radio, you have to remove 2 panels, the turnsignal flasher is the one on he right.

Re: turn signal staying on and not blinking
Check the bulbs themselves to make sure that one isn't burned out

Turn signal on S10
On my 95 extended cab, the flasher unit is located directly behind the triple power outlet, bottom center of the lower dash panel. Pull the ashtray, remove screw on the left, remove torx screw close to the steering column and you can bend the panel down to get at the flasher. Can on the right is turn signals, left is 4 way. (Glad these only go bad every ten years or so!)
