Don't cops have anything better to do?
"Let's catch those kiddys that are havin fun racin' on empty streets at 3am while we let those 12 rapists roam the city..."

Sorry, but it's sad.
If they aren't handing out stupid tickets, they're arresting kids for street racing. What ever happened to the good ol days?

the police strategy is to videotape you racin, get all the info they need, and issue a warrant. after which they can nail you whenever they feel like it, the other day they went on televised housecalls dragging racers out of bed early in the morning and detaining them. undercover cops at street races? sounds like something straight out of hollywood if you ask me.

it's 11pm here and it's quiet outside my window, where 3 or 4 months ago i'd hear non stop rumbling down my block. it's working, i'll give them that. hey just hope the program here doesnt get big that other cities try something similar.

"If you take away the tools that make their cars faster maybe that will slow them down,” said Drag Net Unit Lt. C.F. Hogquist.

LMFAO...That was classic. Thanx for the good laugh man.

They'll get over it and drag racing will be what it has been since these no-life assholes were teenagers and doing the same thing in thier pony cars. You'd think the inevitability of what they're trying to get rid off would deter them...

:hehe: I think they were reffering to the use of NOS on the street. It's illegal to run nitrous on the street. You can have a NOS system installed on your car, but on the street the bottle MUST be disconnected from the system. It's the same here in AZ.

When I was inVo-tech, I was the prez of VICA and we organized a track. We had a lot of fun and raised funds for local police (brilliant idea on my part) and generally had a hell of a time. In my shop, we built a 12 second car as a project and got extra credit and a listing in the local news for it. If you want to race, make it so that everyone benefits and keep the police off your ass.

not only disconnected, but you must have empty bottles. if the bottles arent empty, then your car must be properly placarded to show that you have an oxidizer on board.

the oxidizer must also not be in the trunk or passenger compartment... only in the open bed of a truck for transportation.

read your local laws... i thought the same as you once, until someone got caught and we dug thru the books.

last tuesday by my old high school there were some knuckleheads poppin off semi automatic weapons at each other. fortunately for them they were both horrible shots. unfortunately it took over half an hour for the police to respond, the funny part is there's a police sub-station within walking distance of the scene.
however if there's drag racing going on they're there with a quickness.

putting thugs in jail costs the state and taxpayers money.
issuing tickets and impounding vehicles MAKES money.

first they shorten the yellows at the photo enforced intersections to make revenue, now dragnet, whats next for us. i need to get the fuck out of cali.
