Audio Problems

My Uncle and I recently put back in the stock stereo. It's a long story why it was taken out, but it's now back in.

We tested it after we had put it back in, and it worked fine. However, my mom took it out driving the other day. She came back and told me the sound barely comes out. The sound is very faint. On full volume, only faint sounds can be heard. I took out the stereo to make sure everything was plugged in, and it was. So I guess my question is, is there a solution to this? Or is my stereo busted? Or could it be something with the speakers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This forum looks great, and there aren't too many like it out there.

Re: Audio Problems

I just ran out there to check and I didn't notice any amp directly under the seat. However, whether or not its under the carpet too is something I'm unsure of. It's not a fancy model or anything -- very basic. So if this amp would be an extra or something, then it's doubtful that it's there.
