clutch getting stuck?

my clutch pedal gets stuck on the down position when i first start my car... i have to play w/ it a little bit before it starts to automatically come back to it's place... and when it is stuck...it grinds into gears.... what can this problem be?

could be a sign of crank walk, or just a bad clutch fork or throwout berring.

hows your clutch fluid? i'd check that!

my clutch fluid isnt topped off or anything...... but there is some in the resorvoir

what color is the fluid? if its black then you're more than likely looking at a master cylinder, that isn't too expensive

after i changed my clutch my car started doeing the same thing.i needed to "pump up" the clutch any time i was starting the car(especialy after night).5 days later that wasn't working no more.
i would suggest u need a new master cylinder,about 75$ for 1g,maybe more for 2g...
