which mod next?
hi y'all
so far heres what i'm working with......'96 automatic WS6 with K&N, mass airflow sensor, throttle body, headders, custom Y-pipe, high-flow cat, flowmasters, everything else is stock... and heres what im tryin to do.......heads/cam/rebuild transmission/new gears/timing chain/torque converter/carbon fiber drive shaft/super duty torque arm/pulley does anyone have a ballpark guesstimate how much loot this stuff will soak me for?....and if i cant afford all this stuff at once (which, lemme tell ya, is a safe bet), which mods should i do first so that my car wont "break"? (and if theres any other cool stuff i didnt think of please let me kno).......... thanks guys -mike ps. if its gonna be cheaper to sell my car and buy a totally different one let me know that too hahahaha |

Re: which mod next?
good idea to strengthen and rebuild before you do alot of power mods. personally i would wait and do it all at once. that way you can pull your engine / tranny, rebuild the tranny, and pop on hte new heads and cam. it should make the other work easier aswell.

Re: Re: which mod next?
good idea man, thanks... for srength/stability, how important is it that i switch from a 10-bolt to a 12-bolt rear end? or would a brace be sufficient? thats one of the reasons (another is the better heads) i envy LS1 TA drivers. is it a do-yourself job or one i should take to a professional?
