front speakers

i have a 97 gase, and the stock speakers are 4x6s....however, they have 6 and something inch grilles...can anyone tell me if i can somehow fit 6 inch speakers in there? i know i would have to remove some plastic, but is there a way that anyone knows of?? thanks a lot.. a little extra kick in the front wouldnt hurt.

i would also like to know if there is a way to cut the carpet out of the back window area that covers the speakers...just around the speakers..i would like to put my rockford grilles on instead of having the carpet over them. thanks

i got those, they are 6 1/2 i just removed the black cover and put those on, the only problem is the window cranks tap the speaker when you put up/down the window.

Re: front speakers

hey, thanks for the info on the front speakers, did you have to remove anything from inside the door to get the speaker to fit though? because mine only has a harness thing for a 4x6...and how do those speakers sound? im looking for good bass
