1999 power window problem

Hello all!

So now, it's the driver's power window. Won't move. I do have power at the switch, the motor and all fuses check out. The little clicking sound is coming from the front electrical module (just to the left of the brake ). It sounds like a relay clicking open and shut. Would it work to reset the computer, or does this "FEM" need to be replaced?

Any help welcomed!!
Mark

Mark--Had the same problem, here is what happened. We took off door panel (4 or 5 screws, then lift it straight up and out). Take of backing sponge like thing( just peel away). We then tapped on the motor while holding the up switch. The window moved but sporadically. Seems like the motor is bad. Is held on by 2 torx head bolts (torx 25).
Am going to take it off and replace motor.

Mark --

What was the ultimate outcome of your power window problem? I have the EXACT same symptoms... and I'm finding it hard to believe that a motor problem in the door is causing a clicking sound in my dash (near the fuse box)...

Your response would be greatly appreciated.

Regards --
Jeff

Follow-up....

Further investigation showed that I was receiving the proper voltage at the connection to the motor... thus neither the switch nor the relay was the problem.

Replaced the motor. Problem solved. Wallet lighter.
