Yeah - they were stock on the base GT.

Do you have a more specific question in mind?

Re: rims

I have a qusestion about rims if you dont mind me asking on this thread?

I'm looking at getting some 17's maybe 18's on my SL when i get it.But in like a year or so my dad is going to buy my SL and i'll buy a VR-4...my quesion is will i beable to take the rims off of the SL and put them on the VR-4?Lets say its a 92 SL and i get a 96 VR-4...will they fit?If not, will a 92 SL fit a 92 VR-4's?

Re: rims

Well the main problem is the calipers on the vr4s, they provide very little clearance due to their size, so many aftermarket rims don't fit them. However, if it fits a vr4 I would think they would have no problems fitting an SL, so your best bet may be to shop backwards..in otherwords shop for rims that will fit the vr4, and then put them on your SL.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: rims

Yeah I was thinking of that too 'cause I don't wanna be keeping my SL forever. Wasn't too sure if it would work though...

And IMO, 16's are too small for the 3000's. Mine has 16, just looks a little small for the car... If you're going to change rims, go for 17 or 18 *nods*

Re: rims

yeah the only thing you have to worry about is the calipers being so damn big but i can slap mine on vr-4's long as they don't have some big brake chit
