Old school ferrari?

So yesterday was nice out and I was driving around, swung by my girlfriends house which happens to have a row of garages across the street. I always figured it was empty or had an old crown vic or something in it. Anyways, it was her roommates birthday, so she wanted to run out to circuit city and get a dvd for her roommate before she got home. i figure my car is faster, so we decide to take that. When I get outside, I see this nice red older style ferrari...i wish I knew more about the older ones, because I recognized it as ferrari but really had no idea which it was, I even checked the logo to make sure. So I smile to the guy as I am getting into the vr4. He lets me go first...to my dismay, and he proceeds to take his time. So at every stop sign before the main road(3 or 4) I wait for an excruciating 6 or 7 seconds to let him catch up a bit. So as we near the main road, he cuts toward it a block earlier then I did, so when I get to the main road, he is just in front of me. So now I figure a race is coming as we near the highways. Well we get to the traffic circle, I put on my signal REAL early so he could tell I was heading for the left lane(far exit)...unfortuantly he decides to go right and take the closer turnoff. Ordinarily I would have changed lanes and followed him a bit more, but my girlfriend was not being a teamplayer and was rushing me on to Circuit City. So a perfectly good chance for a story was ruined...but I figured I'd post and see if you guys have ever bothered racing the Italian exotics? I don't see enough of them around to ever have a good chance. But I am looking forward to the day when I will be keeping up to them with my 15Gs.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

I really enjoy getting to see a great car like that once in a while. Race or no race, its nice to see someone keep those beauties up and running

I've lined up with a countach (sp) a few times here. I don't know the guy real well, but we've chit chatted a few times. We both know his car is the top dog, but they do look cool as hell running (nearly) side by side for a city block
