Question 96 Jetta 2.0

yesterday I changed the airfilter but I noticed that the hose that comes from the engine and connects to the filter was with oil can someone tell me whats the problem.....

That is the hose to let clean air into the engine, the air is supposed to flow the other direction. It is part of the engine breather system (kind of like a PCV or positive crankacse ventilation system). The problem may lie in the hoses at the valve cover. Mounted in the cover is a round plastic "valve", make sure the grommet that holds it to the valve cover is secure & all the other hoses haven't collapsed. Especially check the hose that goes to the intake manifold, this is how the engine vapors should be exiting the engine & burned off. The air from the filter hose enters the engine to replace it. Your system is either blocked, leaking or overloaded. Overloaded means too much pressure in the engine caused by worn piston rings = worn out engine. How many miles are on it?

69.000 miles the hoses are secure ,so if is overload what can I do .... where is locate the pcv valve.
