Reverse glow gauges

I bought some aftermarket.. gauges for my Integra and it says to connect the 2 wires to the headlight power supply but it does not tell me where that is. Everything else is fine.

Re: Reverse glow gauges

it is usually connected to the stock dimmer switch. U are gonna have cut the harness that is connected to the switch to tap the wires. U are gonna need to crimp wires together. what year teg u got?

I found the power supply .... and your right there is no where to put the wires.... also how do i know what wire is positive and which is negitive. The wires for my gauges are labled but there are 5 or 6 wires going into the same power supply.. Not one is black

shit man who knows, i think its blue. You need to get a manual for your car man..go to an autoparts place..spend 11.99 get a haynes manual for your car and figure it out..that would be the logical thing to do. I could look at it and tell you, but im not there

Re: Reverse glow gauges

usually the + power is a red wire and the - ground is a black wire. So when u popped out the stock dimmer there were 5-6 wires coming out of it???

Re: Reverse glow gauges

buncha retards..
kylehip, just take the red wire and wrap it around a prong on the fuse (on your fusebox under your dash) for your dash lights. Take the black wire and wrap it around the thread of a bolt that goes into a piece of metal under there, and let there be light. If you don't understand this, shoot yourself or pay a shop $2734082304 to do it.

Re: Reverse glow gauges

the best way to fing out which wire is live is to get a piece of wire and attach it somewhere on the cars body( to a nut or bolt)now you have the negitive feed, attach 2 wires to a bulb(12v). wrap one of the wires to the negitive feed you created, attach a pin or needle to the other wire and insert it into the block connector holes until the bulb lights up, now you've found the live, if anything goes wrong then only the bulb should blow, your fuses should be alrite(the ignition should be in the on position otherwise the wires wont be live). when you've found the live feed peel back some of the insulation(don't cut the wire)wrap in your new wire and solder it,if you can't solder just make sure you wrap it tightly and cover it with insulating tape.

Job Done
