chirco shirts back

I got the Chirco shirts back today. Here's a pic of the shirt (my daughter wore it.)

I have more than 60 pictures of the entire development process and I'll be putting it up soon. The shirts debut at a show in Phoenix on Saturday.

I am soooooo happy this thing is done. I don't even want to talk about the number of hours that went into it. Bear in mind each color was hand cut on a separate sheet of film....every shape...every line one by one. It's officially Monkey off the Back Day!!!

Re: chirco shirts back

LOLOL ilov2xlr8 !

Man I'm the definition of starving artist. I'll draw anything! (that I can show my kids).

I got a sweet deal goin on in the VW world right now. I drive a '58 ragtop http://www.58vw.com, and I trade art for parts with a few suppliers plus I get to do VW shows all over the country. It's cool because for example one of the places gives me $200 a month to maintain their web page no matter how much I do on it. I in turn can get that as cash or as parts, so no money actually comes out of my pocket and my wife stays happy.

I'll be posting some tuned cars soon...no Hondas though...sorry...My dry head panzer friends would disown me. LOLOL

Re: chirco shirts back

Thanks KustmAce,

Chirco makes parts for, sells parts for, and builds VWs. They are one of the top suppliers in the country and they are about 2 miles from my house.

I maintain their site: http://www.chirco.com

It's a real nice way to let your art work for you. When I got my car a couple years ago I went online and mass e-mailed every club, shop, or enthusiast I could find. My site did 3600 visitors last month which is great for me at this point. I put my art out there, tell the people I'm available, and they contact me.

The Chirco deal came about when I did their CD catalog. (I have some technical skills I don't get to flex around here). I traded the catalog for a dual port 1600cc motor. Which was a major upgrade over the 36hp 6 volt system I got it with. I am currently running the same 1600cc motor but I have dual ICT carbs. My top speed is about 90 and I suprise many many people off the line. It's fun.

Oh Castback...go to my site and find one you like. Look in the animation section at the Mistie tour. There's a 360 degree rotation. Find the angle you like and then capture your screen (alt + printscreen) paste into word or whatever and you're done.

Re: chirco shirts back

I named my car Mistie because of one of my favorite shows.

It was called MST 3000. I think it's still on Sci Fi but those are all repeats. Me and my wife are big fans. Fans of the show were called Mysties. I changed the "y".

I have about 10 years worth of tapes on the show and we still watch it often.
