Metal in pan
So I pulled my transmision pan last night just to see what, if anything, had collected throughout the winter months. Sure enough metal in the pan! Nothing huge, but the very bottom sediment was all grey and full of small metal flakes. Kinda looks like clutch material possibly. I also took the pan into work today and they agreed, possibly clutch material. It kinda makes me wonder if thats the reason I could never get it into gear though. To recap, when I had it running decent enough last fall I put it into reverse and it would just die on me, making me think T.C., but now I'm not sure.
Should I get it running again and see what happens or should I rip it out and rebuild a newly rebuilt tranny? It had 0 miles on it, this really pisses me off! Any opinions please!

Re: Metal in pan
That sucks! Only 0 miles though? Would'nt you be entitled to some kind of warranty?

Re: Metal in pan
Did you do the rebuild or did a shop?

I built it up myself. The T.C. should be under some kind of warranty though.
