Aftermarket pulley options for 3.8's supercharger?
This is actually going on a 95' Buick Riviera, but the Buick guys never reply to anything.
Anyway, just want some more low-end power out of my 95' 3.8 S/C. Motor has over 120K on it, but compression tests out nicely. Will also probably do a chip and exhaust; suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks. |

Any of the pulley systems that those vendors offer will be good. For starters, Get a 3.4 pulley DHP/CYA RACING/INTENSE all have PCM's now Hit up www.clubgp.com for a wealth of info |

Dont forget to borrow the pulley puller. Don't use a steering pump pulley puller. |

Well there are many sizes. 3.4", 3.25", 3", 2.8". The smaller the pulley the more knock it will generate if the intake is to hot. So make sure that you cool the intake more the smaller the pulley is. FOr starters get the 3.4"

Make sure you check out those thunder pullies!
![]() and all because you have a kickass intake dont think you can drop to a 2.8 pulley....alot of work will be needed to the rest of your engine before you can drop away from the 3.4. The 3.4 would be a good starter for you. |
