Hey guys...
i had the indiglo white gauge installed in my 98 eclipse GST two years ago. It stoped lighting up recently. (it would sometimes blink once and go off) I thought it was something wrong with the aftermarket gauge face. So i bought a new one (the reverse type)... BUT STILL!!! i had double and trible checked the wire and made sure i have not installed wrong... did this ever happen to any of you? Is there a fuse or wire that maybe i should check into? Please help... Thanks guys |

Re: White gauge face problem <PLEASE HELP>
Where are you getting the power from..
This happens to me sometimes, I will be driving and they will go off. But the place I tapped it is near the kick panel. So i just start kicking around and then the light comes back on. But this is like once a month. EDIT: Did you check the ground? Where did you ground it?

Re: White gauge face problem <PLEASE HELP>
Like Ashah said, make sure to check your power and ground. Make sure both have a solid connection. If anything, check out BoostedSpyders cardomain site(link is in his profile) for a good wire tap, if your not using the same one already. If not that, make sure the fuse to your tap is in completely. I remember when i first installed my new radio i had that problem, than i found out my fuse was completely in.

Re: White gauge face problem <PLEASE HELP>
Also, does your kit have an adjuster to enable you to change the setting from dim to bright? I had this problem on my needle kit and it turns out that the dimmer was going bad. It just decided when it wanted to work and when it didn't. But it's probably one of those stupid ground problems. I've found that the best place to tap power is from the lighting on the cruise control switch. It's close to the gauges and will dim with the rest of the dash.
