Vote For Your Moderator

Okay, I think to make this fair, we should style it like an election. Thats just my thought. So here goes:

1.) Those who are running should post why they think that they are qualified to be moderator.

2.) Those not running should vote, and not post, so the candidates wont get jumbled up. Or at least, dont post until all the candidates have, so theyre all at the top, dig?

3.) The poll will run for 10 days, which will make it end on April 25th.

If any of the other candidates have something to add, feel free.

Good luck, and may the best candidate win

Re: Vote For Your Moderator

Um...im Zach...I own a website so i have experience with moderating and I also am a moderater at www.air-powered.com so i have tons of moderating experience. I have also been here a long time and know many of the people on here on an "off forum basis". I am here alot too, so you wont have tyo worry about me not seeing stuff and not dealing with stuff. And last, but not least, I have contributed to this forum greatly by adding the FAQ section.

Re: Vote For Your Moderator

I am Tim, I was the first named moderator at Zach's first forum, on Aimoo, and his first named mod at the new Graphik Dezigns. I have also moderated other forums, such as the Gran Turismo By Numbers, for a time.

I too have contributed to this forum, by offering long, detailed critiques, and I also contributed to the FAQ section. And, I also know many of the members here on an off-forum basis.

I am here just about every day, as it is my habit now. I am usually here right after school, and in the evening. So I will always be here to effectively moderate.

I have been a front runner in the "campaign" to get a moderator for a while. Early last month I PM-ed and emailed Igor regarding the subject, and recently Pm-ed, emailed, and IM-ed, him as well. When I got no reply, I started the IWC poll, and arranged this here vote.

Re: Vote For Your Moderator

Ok I'm Josiah, I first meant this kinda as a joke but now that I'm on the canidate list I guess I'll take it seriously......

1) I am constantly on this site and I dont leave until I've seen every post. Also if it matters I can be rather good at spelling.

2) I can represent, I was class rep for three years.

3) I was a minor figure in the arrangment in the S/D mod........... well not much

I'd love to be your mod but if you think someone else is better vote for them, I came into this not expecting a win so it wont kill me.

This may not be the best way to start off my post but...

I wouldn't care if you guys did vote me as one of the mods or not. If i was a mod i would enjoy it and i would not abuse the powers. if i am not voted as a mod i will still enjoy being just a member.

if i become a moderator and i have a decision that effects everyone i will see how you guys feel about what should be done. i will also not limit my moderating responsibility to just the S/D forum because i also view other forums in this site that are also without a moderator.

i have little to no exprience with being a moderator. i believe that being a moderator is to help people out and to help keep the forum running smoothly. you do not need experience to just help people.

i also am on here every day (unless i am out of town or can't get to a comuter). i also view the threads religiously. i can vouch for the statement tim made about how he views the forums late at night because i am also addicted to this forum and feel the need to see every post as soon as i can.

I may not have 10,000 post or average 35 post a day ,but i havent been in the s/d forum very long. when i first joined A.F. i joined it because i had just bought a car and wanted to ask the guys over in the Honda forums some questions. I started to just hang around in the Honda forum and never looking over here. when i first looked over here i noticed that everyone was friends and people posted more often then i have ever seen! i have never drawn a car before (ha ha remember the Aztek ). i have had experience with drawing and other art mediums but this forum has got me hooked.

Like i said once in one of my posts...i love this forum and i love its members.

Remember to vote for who YOU think should be a mod. (i wonder who igor will vote for...?)

p.s. sorry it is soooo long

My name is Mike. I am running for Moderator of the Sketching and Drawing forum. I think there should be a change here, I have seen multiple useless posts that I would have deleted. I also have seen threads that have needed to be sticky'ed and unstuck.

I have expierience as a Moderator on multiple forums and for large corporations (XConcepts LLC.).

I use proper grammar and spell things correctly.

I also listen to everyone and try to help out as much as possible. Everyone has a say in major problems on this board so I can resolve the issue.

I come here all the time, and I am also frequent multiple forums here on AF.

Thank you for listening, Vote for Mike!

Voting for Mike is like riding a bike, its easy.

Re: Vote For Your Moderator

I am HighOctaneNOSUser. I know it is a long and confusing name so just call me Octane. My real name is Alex, so use it if you like.

I guess I won't win with KustmAce and Zach but what the hell.

1. I wanted to be a mod since I first heard of a forum but never got the chance. I have good grammer.

2. I have a fair temper and don't pick anyone's side.

3. I always listen to everyone's side. I try to help out as much as possible. I think everyone should have a fair say in things.

I may not have as many posts as Kustm or Zac, though I have been here long, but I try to make sure that I can help others out. I doon't sit in the corner while an argument rages. I Never, not in life or on AF, let soemone feel down about themselves or their drawings. So, you must decide who to vote for.

Re: Vote For Your Moderator

Personally I'd like to see Asaenz or stuffbyalex up there, cuz both have a well working knowledge of art, but as far as moderating Either KustomAce or Zach would be great in my opinion. We always have Asaenze and Alex to post with help.

Re: Vote For Your Moderator

np man...anytime You'd be good too, but it seems that the masses support Zach and Kustom, so I gotta go with the one the people are happy to support. I'm not here enough to know how everyone is, so I gotta rely on everyone else to say how each is. Nothin against ya
