Info from XS Tuning about rims

Got a reply to my feedback the other day maybe of interest.

Many thanks for your comments!!! For many years, I worked in design and productdevelopment at Monogram Models and Revell-Monogram... it only make sense
to make the wheels fit, but, it is quite a challenge to solve these small problems
so that you, as a builder, don't have to deal with these engineering challenges.

I have two-piece, 18" wheels tooled.. they are pretty cool!!

Best regards,

Bob Johnson
Scaleworks Inc.

If they are anything like their others then ' woohoo '

Re: Info from XS Tuning about rims

Gee, can you tell this guy worked for Monogram by the way he runs his company?

Shortsighted product developement, behind the trends, late with releases of updated in demand products etc...

I e-mailed him when they first hit the market and tried to tell him their wheel diameters were too small, yes they work well on 1/25 scale cars and some small 1/24 cars, but most of the tuner market is 1/24 which leaves the diameter too small.

Kudos to them for engineering them for adaptation to various makes of models, but they are late making something desirable for the 1/24 market.
