Grill Gaurd Z71
I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to keep a grill gaurd after installing a 3" body lift. The gaurd mounts to the frame, but the holes in the bumper that it comes out of will be moving up. If anyone has any experience let me know. Thanks

Re: Grill Gaurd Z71
You can get guards that mount to the frame, and then you can get the ones that moun t strictly to the bumper. If you get the frame mounted kind, you might have to fab some brackets to make it fit right. You can also call the manufacturer and see if they offer such brackets.

Re: Grill Gaurd Z71
If it just mounts to the frame through the bumper. It will just be weak when the bumper is relocated. Only as strong as the relocation brackets. If it mounts to the frame UNDER the truck then you will need to fabricate brackets to raise the mount points otherwise it will no longer line up with the contour of the bumper itself.
