Gearhead from 'way back...
Hi everyone, my name is Drew and I've been an incurable gearhead since I can remember (which is sometime back in the early 1960s). My dad, brother, uncle and grandfather were also gearheads so I come by it naturally.
My main interest is "ordinary" cars, especially the big cruisers and station wagons from the 1950s into the 1970s. I'm not a huge muscle car fan, though there are certainly some of them I'd love to own (a 1965 Dodge Coronet with the 426 Wedge would be just fine).
I currently drive an '00 Plymouth Neon LX. Yeah, it's sort of boring but it's cheap to operate and pretty zippy. So far, it's been as reliable as rain at a car show. My wife has an '02 Caravan, which is arguably even more boring but I happily put up with its boring nature because of its everyday utility. It's also a heckuva nice vehicle for long trips.
My first car was a 1955 Chevy. I've owned a whole load of cars since then; mainly Chrysler, AMC and GM products. I've never owned a Ford product, though I don't have anything against them. I tend to like the "domestic" brands over the "imports", but the line between them has certainly blurred over the years.
Anyway, happy motoring everyone!
