Remote Start on UK Prelude

I've got a 4th Gen UK Prelude and I've recently installed an alarm with remote start, when I try to remote start the car the dash lights come on, the fuel pumps primes and all the usual noises are made - But it won't crank, have checked the wiring etc etc but it still won't do anything - Any suggestions?


For Info -

There are 3 relays connected to the remote start

1 relay controls ACC
1 relay has 2 switches controlling IG1 and IG2
3rd Relay controls Crank

some of the UK models that I have seen have the key immobolizer system on them even when the US model is basically the same car.

Mine didn't have any alarm system as standard and doesnt have any transponder type key - I thought of that so just to make sure I acutally put the key in the barrel (Didn't turn it) and it still did the same thing.

It's almost acting like there is another immobiliser somewhere in the system, but as far as I know there shouldn't be!

To Remote Start the Engine.

Press the "start" button. Twice, the direction lights will flash...........

It should have read -

Press the "start" button twice. The Direction lights will flash..........

Glad you got it sorted. I just installed a Clifford Concept 600 with remote start on my BB1 4G Prelude. The look on peoples face at night when the star ship enterprise lights go on and the engine cranks........priceless!!!!
