favorite donor kits?

Alright, I know a few of you builders do some kit bashing, and i want to know what kits you think make good donors for just about any parts (rims, engines, etc)...

Re: favorite donor kits?

The AMT Dodge Viper kit - the parts are too warped to fit together to build the model, but the parts are good for kitbashing.

JACCS Accord seems to be pretty popular around here for its roll cage and interior bits...
I dont do much kitbashing but, I dont mind a nascar every now and then for the nice motor and fuel cell, rims and tires.. The AMT Supra kit for its nitrous bottles is my fav tho.

any one forgetting the ITR by revell, lots of wheels, extra front and back piece, several wings, also the revell civics that are in the tuner series are good kits like this as well.

Re: favorite donor kits?

Ive found that a lot of AMT kits are good for that. The Supra is good, has amps, subs, nos, 2 sets of racing seats, twin turbo I6 with a lot of chrome, and for an AMT kit, the parts are pretty good. Good deal for $12.00

Part of the reason why is you're paying too much for your kits. If you look hard enough you can get 32's, Supras and FD3S' for about $9US each. I would never pay $25 for any of those kits. I got a Supra last month for $5 at my LHS.

Re: Re: Re: Re: favorite donor kits?

Where do you live? The 3 local hobby shops in my area don't have any "import models" for under $15 and thats for the easy to find kits. the Fujimi Honda Integra 95 was $22.
