Gm Recall
I got a letter in the mail yesterday about the cables that hold the T gate up when opened, can fracture or fail and cause severe damage to the vehicle and/or personal safety. GM will be sending out letters to us in the late summer when to take the truck to your local GMC Dealer
for free replacement of the T Gate cables with stainless steel ones. He we go! John

Mine actually broke about a month ago, and a week after I bought new ones, the letter come in the mail. Dumb luck.

call GM and tell them you replaced yours before the recall letter. See if they will refund your money. John
