Front End Squeak
I have a 1994 Mustang that has a very annoying squeak in the front end. I have had a similar problem before and a good lube of the tie rod ends fixed that problem, but now there is another bad squeak. I have been able to isolate this squak to something in the steering because i only hear it when I turn the wheel and whenever i hit a good size bump in the road. The power steering fluid is full and shows no sign of leaks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

new outer tie rod ends are about 30 bucks i think. amount of labor depends on the time you have and the tools you have available. took me about 3 hours to change my outers, but i didn't know what i was doing.
in case you didn't get the hint, that''s your problem =P

to unload a balljoint, you simply raise the car with a jack and put a solid object under the arm in question. wiggle the tire around. put your finger on the balljoint and have a friend shake the wheel. see if there's any movement. while you're at it, give the tie-rods a good shake with your hands and see if there's a lot of play in their joints.

In regards to cybergomer, my guess would be either tie rod ends or rack bushings.
In regards to fordforlife, I'd guess either control arm bushings or sway bar endlinks. Hope this helps.
