Is this performance kit good for the sol ???

Hi guys, Im not trying to advertize or anything here, but I found this performance kit on airdynamicracing.com here's the link directly to that performance kit

http://www.airdynamicracing.com/shop/product.phtml?p=22

IS this a good kit? should I buy it? it doesnt say that it is for del sol, but I called the company up and they said that It would fit a del sol perfectly. Is it good?? Would it help a del sol with power and performance?? Whats your opinions on it?

Is the header on that kit better than the one on base models of the del sols???

Would it be a good upgrade for the car?

Whats the difference between a muffler and an exhaust system or a catback system???

okay, thats it for now, thanks dudes.

Re: Is this performance kit good for the sol ???

well 2 things here
1) is it an actuall exhaust system or just a muffler
2) and if it is an actuall exhaust system, i smell something fishy with it only costing 200 some odd dollars, one of those 2 good to be true sort of things. But of course i know nothing of the quality of those particular parts.

Re: Is this performance kit good for the sol ???

i highly doubt those 3 mods will give u 20-25 hp, and the high flow exhaust system appears only to be just a muffler. if i were u, i would procceed with caution.

Re: Is this performance kit good for the sol ???

AEM/Iceman intake, DC header, GReddy exhaust..

Unless your a dual exhaust punk like me, that's the way to go. Catback exhaust gives you the best power, and think about it this way. My AEM intake was supposed to cost about $240 (I got it free... God bless sponsors). A DC Header will cost you $250 for a DOHC, $160 for a SOHC. A good exhaust system will cost you about $200-$250. All in all, that's about $700 for those three components. That package has all 3 for $220. How well built does that tell you they are? Save up your money and shell out the cash for the good stuff. You will thank yourself and your car will thank you.

Re: Is this performance kit good for the sol ???

ok, thanks, thats what I'll do. so the performance stuff on that website SUCKS than. they have some pretty neat styling stuff like light and seats and stuff for really cheap price. So when i get a car I'll buy the clear tail lights from them and maybe some nice racing seats. but I wont buy any performance things from them. ok thanks

thats funny man. well anyways, why don't u do what im doing? get the mods first then get the car. if u get the car first, it will hard to mod it up, since you'll be giving up quite a bit for insurance a month especially at your age, not to mention if your paying payments for the car. im getting my turbo kit, lsd, and coilovers first, that way when get my car all i have to do is just install it.

I'd rather have a stock car than a room full of bolt ons... room full of bolt ons won't get me anywhere.
And $2500 is quite a rip... sorry but I can get a full turbo custom made for a del sol for about $750.

well thats u, i used to have an almost stock car and each month i barely had any money for bolts ons due to the fact that most of my money went into insurance and car payments.

oh $2500 a rip huh? let me see u get a complete brand new t3/t4 custom made turbo kit for $750. if people can get a new kit for 750, they wouldn't be put all theit money into i,h,e. etc, etc.

Re: Is this performance kit good for the sol ???

Ye but if I was to get all the mods for it first, and then wait like couple months, then what happens If I change my mind about buying a del sol and want a Pontiac Firebird?? then Im screwed, am i not?? So I think that I'll get my car first and then get certain mods for it.

Re: Is this performance kit good for the sol ???

yeah u would be screwed, but then i guess u didn't want the del sol as much as u thought u did. im set on getting another integra, its one of my favorite car besides my next future car, an nsx. all i got to do is just follow through with my plan. take right now for example, my friends all got bikes and i feel kinda left out and envious. i even check to see how much some of them cost, but i won't buy it until my teg project is complete.
