Motor: SOHC vs DOHC | Need Help!!
I drive a 69 SS Chevelle. My buddy Drives a Honda Del Sol. He was asking me about motors. Except I do not have have the knowledge about foreign cars as much as I do domestic cars.
My question is...
If I have a SOHC motor, what is th point in swapping to a DOHC motor. I have read a little bit, but I am not getting the point. I know that the DOHC motor has to do with weightdifrrence, but The SOHC motor can have the same output sith stronger internals. Which motor is more cost effective? Which motor has the most potential output as far as horsepower and torque. What are the disadvanteges and advanteges.
My friend is eventually going to add a turbo to his motor, how does come into play? Last Question is if the DOHC motor is a better, how easy is the motor swap?
