$25 bucks for a intake?? What is it like a short ram air intake?? I don't think he would really get much hp out of a short ram at all it gets to much engine heat. The cold air is the better way to go there is less heat so the engine is getting colder air. I think most air intakes sound alike.

accordgirl is right. In some cases if the inside of your engine bay gets hot enough, a short ram intake can actually cause you to lose power because it sucks in hot air. you may still feel as if you are gaining power though, due to the noise of the intake. a cold air intake, if installed properly, will provide a bigger gain that a short ram. taking colder air into your engine causes it to produce more horsepower due to the fact that cold air is more dense than hot air.

Don't laugh but I have got a homemade intake on my 93 accord! it cost me about $20 to make! it is a short arm. I went to a muffler shop and had them bend a piece of pipe the way I wanted it panted it with 1500 ceramic heat paint then stuck a big HKS on the end of it! It made a huge difference!!! But I do have a little plastic pipe down in my front pipe to get some cool air in the path of the HKS and I moved the battery to the back so it could have some room!! I am very happy with it! It is so loud people think I have exaust!!!

How did you put your battery "in the back" Were did you mount your battery, and how did you do it? I would love to get some more room in that area.
