i'm pretty sure you can stick a resistor on the ecu and hack it but don't take my word for it. i know you can have a speed limiter that way.

i just bought a chip off ebay for $20. i had a tv repair shop solder it for another $20. but i can now rev up 9,200 rpms. of coursee i don't take it above 8,000.
