Engine swap???

I have a '95 Taurus GL w/ the 3.0L Vulcan. I want a little more umph in my car, so.. I was wondering if a 3.4L V8 from a 96-99 SHO might be possible.. Don't just tell me to buy one. I can't stand the those ovals. And, I'm not just gonna buy a show. I wanna have a car that's totally my own. So... will it work?

you'll benefit better with the V6 SHO engines made from '89-'95.

I know the 89-95 SHOs were quicker, but, the 3.4L has 235 hp, right? That's a tad more. And, if I'm not mistaken, the exhaust note is a little more pleasing to the ear. I know about the cam problem in the 3.4s, but, other than that, after a some reading, I really don't see anything else that's a plus. I don't see anything worse with a 3.0 or 3.2, I just want a really really unique car.
